The sea-breeze room
A room where the sea is just beyond the window. It brightens early, which helps on the morning you go out for the sunrise.

This is a translation of the Japanese original, provided for reference.
A seaside town known both for swimming and for surfing. The house stands in a quiet residential street and is rented whole. The beach is about five minutes on foot, so you can watch the sunrise, come back, and have breakfast.
The living room windows are generous. By day you can leave the lights off; by late afternoon the light reaches the back of the room. Sofa and dining table share one room, so whoever is cooking stays in the conversation.
Three bedrooms: one where the sea is just beyond the window, one quiet room in white, one where futons go down on tatami. Choose by who is travelling with you. There are two showers, so nobody waits long after coming back from the water.
The kitchen has a hob, a large fridge, a rice cooker and a microwave, and the table — six people facing each other — is right beside it. Fish bought by the harbour can be on the table the same day.
A surf trip, a family week by the sea, a quiet weekend. Close to the water, and still settled enough to feel like a house.

Decide among yourselves who takes which room when you arrive.

A quiet room in white. Nothing extra in it, so there is space for luggage on a longer stay.

Futons go down on the tatami here. Families with small children usually choose this room.
